Creating an account in every digital payment app is always beneficial but sometimes it creates a problem. And, problem-related to your money are always disturbing. We will here learn how to deactivate UPI ID of PhonePe and Google Pay. We will also learn how to delete the UPI ID within minutes.

Deactivating PhonePe UPI ID –
Deactivating PhonePe UPI ID is somewhat tricky in comparison with Google Pay. You should follow some simple steps to deactivate it.
Step 1. Login to your PhonePe

Step 2. Click on your profile in the top left corner.

Step 3. At the bottom, in the payment settings, you will see the QR codes option, click on that.
Now, You will see your QR code.

Step 4. Here, you will see the Manage option on the right side. Click on that.

Step 5. The Account Details section will be shown. Here, you have to click on the Bin button to deactivate it.
You can reactivate it in the future.
Your deactivation process for the PhonePe is successful.
Additional Settings
Here, you can do some other settings in the Account Details section. Therefore, you can get an option for setting a Nickname for your Account. Below this option, you can see an option for Unlink Bank Account. So, in this option, you can unlink your bank account and can add a new bank account.

Deactivating Google Pay UPI ID
Deactivation of Google Pay UPI ID is somewhat easy than PhonePe. You must follow some simple steps to deactivate your Google Pay UPI ID. These steps are as follows –
Step 1. Login to Google Pay App.

Step 2. Click on the Profile button in the top right corner.

Step 3. Then, click on the Bank Account option.
Step 4. Select the bank from which you want to change your UPI ID.
Step 5. Here, you can see Manage UPI IDs, Click on it.
Step 6. By clicking on Manage UPI IDs you will reach which UPI ID you want to delete or deactivate.
Now, your deactivation is successful for Google Pay.
In Google Pay, you can add a new UPI ID of 4 different banks.
Changing UPI PIN
UPI PIN is used to confirm the transaction. For every transaction, you have to enter your UPI PIN. even, you have to enter your UPI PIN when you want to see your account balance. So, it is very important to remember this PIN.
If we haven’t used it for a long time we forgot the UPI PIN so resetting it can be tricky sometimes. So, here we will learn how to reset UPI PIN.
Reset UPI PIN in PhonePe
Step 1. Login to your PhonePe
Step 2. Click on your profile in the top left corner.
Step 3. At the bottom, in the payment settings, you will see the QR codes option, click on that.
Now, You will see your QR code.
Step 4. Here, you will see the Manage option on the right side. Click on that.
Step 5. The Account Details section will be shown. Click on the UPI PIN, then click on the Change.
In this case, you have to enter your old UPI PIN and then the new one. then re-enter the new PIN again.
Now, your UPI PIN is set.
OR
If you forget your UPI PIN then click on the Reset.
- Enter your card details.
- Last 6 digits of your card number.
- Enter Valid Up to (__/__)
Then, click on Proceed to enter your OTP and new UPI PIN.
Reset UPI PIN in Google Pay
Step 1. Login to Google Pay App.
Step 2. Click on the Profile button in the top right corner.
Step 3. Then, click on the Bank Account option.
Step 4. Select the bank from which you want to change your UPI PIN.
Step 5. Click on the Forget UPI PIN option.
Step 6. Enter card details
- Your ATM card last 6 digit numbers
- Your card expiry date.
After entering details, go forward and enter the OTP and then enter your new UPI PIN.
Now, your UPI PIN is successfully set.
UPI ID –
UPI ID is a mobile banking system through which payment apps transfer money from one account to another. When you add a bank account to your payment app it requires a UPI ID which is unique to your account number. You can use your ID to transfer money from one account to another.
You will see one digital payment app has lots of UPI IDs this is to reduce the failure of the transaction. One other reason is to reduce the traffic density.
